Possibly the first 3D Breakout/Arkanoid derivative, it also just so happened to include naked anime girls.

If this game is remembered for anything it’s simply for being an unlicensed nudie game on the famously porn-unfriendly Famicom system. It might actually be the first commercial attempt at a 3D Breakout / Arkanoid-style game, however. I’m racking my brain and can’t think of seeing one until some stuff for DOS in the mid-90s … this came out in 1988, even predating Welltris by about a year!
Unfortunately, it does demonstrate why the technology wasn’t really ready for this idea yet. The gameplay is definitely clumsy. The goal of the exercise is to uncover a luscious animu girl by breaking the blocks. This being an unlicensed disk game, the girls are rendered nakkit eventually. Apparently this is actually a port of an MSX game, which featured SEXY VOICE, but there don’t seem to be any voice clips on the humble FDS.
Aiming the ball is extremely difficult at best, mostly it feels like you’re just riding along with whatever it wants to do until it happens over to the blocks you need. You also have to constantly be on top of it as Objects Are Closer Than They Appear. There are a couple of other gimmicks going on, but they don’t really help make things more manageable. You have a very slow laser which appears to exclusively be for taking potshots at a helicopter that comes by with an extra life once in a while, but that’s a dangerous distraction from staying on top of the ball. There are also elevators rapidly whipping along each side of the screen, if you land the ball in them they take out 1 to 3 of the blocks along that row, that’s extremely difficult to do intentionally though. There’s also a tile enemy floating around that seems to freeze your paddle for a couple seconds if it hits you.
