Original Release: Hacker International, 1990, NES
An obvious riff on Dragon Quest (that even apes Toriyama’s art style on the cover), but the game actually plays more like Ys. Save several princesses in succession and they strip for you

Bodycon Quest looks like a ROM hack of the original Famicom Dragon Quest at first, but I think ol’ Hacker International just lifted some locations and ideas from it (particularly at the outset). As it turns out it actually has an Ys-like engine, with real-time combat in which you attack enemies from any angle but head-on.
The actual hornt content is pretty tame, you’re on a brief quest that first involves rescuing a princess, but that’s done in short order and somehow you’re sent further afield to rescue two more princesses. Said princesses show their gratitude by removing cloth and revealing bobs when you rescue them, but there’s no hardcore content, strictly basic nudity cheesecake here.
Dungeons are straightforward mazes (is that an oxymoron?) but will suddenly surprise you at times with a full-screen boss battle in which you can’t use items for whatever reason. Bosses can simply be run through by gaining enough levels, but some have One Weird Trick you can use, like the first boss can’t reach the very top layer of the screen but you can touch the top of his head from there to give him the ol’ hefty haircut at no risk.
In addition to being short, the game is fairly easy overall. Money is a little tight at the very beginning but after the 1st dungeon its falling out of your trousers, and you level quickly too. You can manage to wander into areas you aren’t ready for and get insta-crushed by tough monsters, but the ones you are supposed to face are usually not much of a challenge.
There is still a bit of difficulty to the game, though. Unless you use save states, you’ll have to go allll way back to the starting castle to save, and the game has longer walks than Dragon Quest.
