While the name might suggest some sort of hentai wrestling or fighting, this is just a linear visual novel that takes place in a dark future with sordid underground bouts for the entertainment of the rich and powerful.
The game opens with our heroine, Aya, being carted off by the glowies because her parents couldn’t pay off some sort of debts. It turns out she’s being taken to Pro Lesring to become a “pro lesler,” a secret wrestling league for the rich and powerful in which the girls attempt to make each other orgasm first and then do all sorts of BDSM stuff to their opponent when they win. As with Variable Geo, I like to imagine this is just how Japan would have actually developed if it didn’t face the scrutiny of the outside world. Also possibly something that happened in a basement on Epstein’s island somewhere, though the girls here seem a little too old and developed to make the cut for that one.
Anyway, as the title and setup intimates, you’ll soon have girls beating each other to exhaustion then totally “lessing” out. But the game is really more of a total and hardcore humiliation thing than it is even about lesbian wrestling. Aya isn’t just gonna be wrestling, she’s also getting pimped out to assorted rich scumbags, and the owner of the freaky wrestling league can’t wait to get a taste for himself as well. The hardcore sex I wasn’t surprised by, but the game did catch me off guard with some rather explicit blood and poopoo stuff that I wasn’t thrilled about.
All of this takes place in a very simple visual novel framework with seemingly no real gameplay, you just repeatedly select from a handful of available menu options until the game lets you move on. However, from reading a guide, apparently there are three different endings that are determined by your level of spiritedness in attempting to fight off the assorted sexual assaults you are subject to. I think the scenes play out the same way no matter what you do, but you gotta give it the ol’ college (lesbian) try.
As a game it’s really not good or noteworthy, but it does have some noteworthy qualities. This was one of a handful of games officially localized by the randy Brits over at Otaku Publishing around the turn of the century, and the PC version has some voice acting and even some decent music at times (oddly reminiscent of the Street Fighter Alpha games). The art is nice (when it isn’t being gross) too, the little glimpses of the dystopian world outside this sexfest are actually pretty interesting and make you wish the idea had been fleshed out to more than just a string of porn scenes. But that’s what it is, and it’s just too much of an arthritis-inducing repetitive clickfest.
